2025 Franklin Baseball and Softball Umpire Training Sessions

Free Training where we will teach you all about the rules and techniques necessary to be a successful Umpire.

Saturday April 5th at 11:00am

Sunday April 6th at 1:00pm

Wednesday April 9th at 5:00pm

Pay Structure and Assignments:

Minimum Age to Umpire a game is 11 with adult supervision

Work permits are required for all umpires under 18 years of age

Weekly Payouts via, Venmo, Check or Direct Deposit

All Divisions Umpire Pay for 2025:

$50 per Umpire or $75 if only 1 Umpire working the game. (Games above Novice/Prep)

Cap at $100 per game

No Umpires for T-Ball, Coaches will manage the flow of the game

Ideal Umpire Assignments:

13 year olds and Under: prep/novice

14 -15 year olds: prep/continental/novice + field ump for little league/intermediate/senior

15 year olds and up: All (with upper divisions preferred - LL, intermediate, senior, pony) Goal is to put only the oldest most experienced behind Home Plate

The younger umpires could move up as they gain experience and show proficiency

Work Permit Requirments

Work permits are required for all umpires under 18 years of age. Please check with your school on the process of obtaining a work permit. You can bring the permit to one of the training sessions to be signed by on of our Board Members.

You will then need to take the work permit back to your school for them to keep on file.
