Beginning with the 2020 season, non-wood bats shall bear the USA Baseball logo signifying that the bat meets the USABat - USA Baseball's Youth Bat Performance Standard. All BPF - 1.15 bats will be prohibited beginning with the 2020 season. Additionally, starting in 2020, the bat diameter shall not exceed 2⅝ inches for these divisions of play. Softball Bat Restrictions
- Softball bats shall be round in cross section, straight in length, and measure not more than 34 inches long including tape or other grip additions to the bat, and not more than 2 1/4 inches in diameter in its largest part and its weight shall not exceed
31 1/2 ounces, including tape or grip addition to the bat.
- All bats must display a legible USSSA BPF 1.20 certification logo as shown in figure 2 except as noted below.
- Wooden bats meeting the specifications in Section CC, item 1 are allowed in all divisions.
- Bats manufactured before January 1, 2004 must display the words "1.20 BPF" or "BPF 1.20"
- Small barrel bats (2¼" max.) with non-composite barrels are allowed in the Junior Softball division only.
